How to Get to Tayrona Park?
There are several options to get to Tayrona Park, whether by land or sea transportation. The option you choose will depend on the type of experience you want to have and your physical condition.
By Land:
The most popular tour called “Cabo San Juan de Guía” starts from Santa Marta at 6 AM. We will take you along a road called Troncal del Caribe. The trip takes about 40 minutes to 1 hour. The first stop will be at the park’s main entrance, called El Zaino. Once there, we will register at the entrance and receive wristbands to access Tayrona. Then, in the Cañaveral area, we will leave the land transportation, and the hike will begin to explore the ecological trails and visit various beaches and scenic spots that this wonderful place offers.
By Sea:
The second option is to go to Tayrona Park by boat. To experience this, we offer transportation services to any of your chosen beaches, including Playa Cristal, Neguanje, Playa Cinto, and Cabo San Juan de Guía. You can book this transportation with us, and the experience starts at 8:30 AM from Santa Marta, Rodadero, or Taganga, where you can take one of our boats departing for Tayrona Park. It takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach the farthest beach (Cabo San Juan de Guía) in the park.
Climate, Recommendations, and Activities!
The climate in Tayrona Park is humid and tropical, with temperatures ranging between 25°C and 38°C. It is recommended to bring a lightweight raincoat, insect repellent, comfortable shoes, your swimsuit, and a water bottle in a reusable container.
